The National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Deputy Director for Logistics & Protocol, Lady Amanda Okyere has commended the Director of Elections and IT for the NDC, Dr. Omane Boamah for his transformative leadership.

According to her, Dr. Boamah’s efforts built systems that made the party’s operations not just swift but data-driven, efficient, and resilient.

“He understood that in today’s world, elections are not only won at the polling stations, they also depend on constant, vigilant monitoring of results from the constituencies all the way to the national level.

“By 12 a.m. on December 8, 2024, the NDC had already collated almost all the results from across the constituencies and knew we had won”, madam Okyere disclosed in a brief statement.

She continued: “Dr. Boamah was the one who gave us the tools and the vision to ensure the party’s message reached everyone. His work in shaping our electoral strategy, managing critical data, and ensuring smooth operations from voter registration to election day was indispensable. His leadership ensured that no voting center was left unmonitored, reinforcing the integrity of the electoral process and keeping the party focused on its mission.”

Below is the full statement

If you’ve ever heard the phrase “a jack of all trades, master of none,” then you’ll quickly recognize that Dr. Omane Boamah is the exception to that rule. He is in fact, a master of many trades; a true polymath who understands the vital connections between technology, communication, and electoral success.

As the Director of Elections and IT for the NDC, Dr. Boamah did more than just manage the logistics of voting stations or oversee the flow of ballots across Ghana’s regions. He did something far more transformative; he modernized the election process by introducing cutting-edge technology. His efforts built systems that made the party’s operations not just swift but data-driven, efficient, and resilient. He understood that in today’s world, elections are not only won at the polling stations, they also depend on constant, vigilant monitoring of results from the constituencies all the way to the national level.

By 12 a.m. on December 8, 2024, the NDC had already collated almost all the results from across the constituencies and knew we had won.

Dr. Boamah was the one who gave us the tools and the vision to ensure the party’s message reached everyone. His work in shaping our electoral strategy, managing critical data, and ensuring smooth operations from voter registration to election day was indispensable. His leadership ensured that no voting center was left unmonitored, reinforcing the integrity of the electoral process and keeping the party focused on its mission.

Dr. Boamah led us with a finesse that made sure the NDC consistently gave the Electoral Commission a run for its money.

But his commitment goes beyond just technical and electoral expertise. Dr. Boamah is always there for the party and its supporters. You can call him at 1 a.m., and he’ll answer without hesitation, ensuring that any issue is resolved swiftly.

Dr. Omane Boamah’s dedication to the NDC and to Ghana’s electoral progress will forever leave a mark on our history. He recognized the future before most of us even realized it was upon us.

So, I offer my heartfelt thanks for your visionary leadership, your tireless pursuit of progress, and your unwavering commitment to strengthening Ghana’s democracy and the success of the Great NDC in the 2024 general elections. You’ve laid the foundation on which we will continue to build as we march toward a brighter, more connected future.
