Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dismissed claims that party members can expel renowned cardiologist and government appointee, Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, from the party.
Speaking on The Verdict hosted by Isaac Addae on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Dr. Tamakloe described the reports as “noise making” and stressed that the party has “very responsible people” at the helm.
“They can’t sack Frimpong Boateng from the party, they can’t sack him. This kind of noise making can go on but they can’t sack him,” he said, emphasising the need for internal dialogue over public statements.
He added that proper party protocol would involve consulting and having a private discussion with Frimpong-Boateng rather than issuing unilateral declarations.
Dr. Tamakloe also criticised the current leadership of the party, saying they are “not fit to be leaders”, and suggesting that future elections should ensure competent management of the party’s affairs.
“The leadership has been in the hands of people who know what they’re about. What they should’ve done is to call Frimpong Boateng later on and have a chat with him… those there now are not fit to be leaders of the party,” he added.
