Presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has declared that he is poised to win the Greater Accra Region if the party’s presidential primaries were held today.
Addressing the media in Accra on Wednesday, October 15, the Abetifi MP said his message of discipline, unity, and grassroots empowerment had resonated strongly with party members across the region.
“I’ve been to 31 constituencies today. I will do three more — Ada, Sege, and Krowor — and that will complete the 34 constituency tour of the Greater Accra Region,” he said.
“Largely, my message has been to restore discipline back into the party. to unite the party and power the grassroots. That is ensuring that resources for future campaigns are brought directly to the base and also, if God blesses us with power, opportunities will come directly to the party base.”
The former Minister of Food and Agriculture expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm his campaign has generated, describing his tour as “incident and accident-free” and the response as “beyond imagination.”
“Everything has been intact there so you’ve seen the footages of my tour in Accra. Beyond my imagination, massive support that I have received and I’m very, very confident that if elections are held today, I would surely carry the Greater Accra Region,” he asserted.
Dr. Acheampong also revealed plans to move his campaign to the Ashanti Region this weekend, where he will embark on a 47-constituency tour.
Outlining his key priorities, the NPP flagbearer hopeful said his administration would focus on job creation, drawing from his private sector experience to design “meaningful jobs for young people.”
Bryan Acheampong is number two on the ballot for the NPP’s 2026 presidential primaries.
