The Board Chairman of the National Service Authority, Emmanuel Okai Mintah has led a delegation of Ghanaian youth development leaders to engage key UK-based institutions on strategic partnerships aimed at empowering Ghanaian youth.
On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the delegation held a meeting with Martin Houghton-Brown, the Secretary-General of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, and his team in England.
Discussions centered on potential collaborations to roll out youth development programs in Ghana under the globally respected Duke of Edinburgh framework.
The delegation also had a strategic engagment with Will Straw, Chief Executive Officer of The King’s Trust International (formerly known as The Queen’s Trust), to leverage various opportunities to support flagship youth initiatives introduced by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

“Additionally, we met with Will Straw, the Chief Executive Officer of the King’s Trust International (formerly the Queen’s Trust), to explore ways we can collaborate in support of the various flagship youth programs initiated by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama ” Said Okai Mintah.
Emmanuel Okai Mintah was accompanied by key figures in Ghana’s youth development ecosystem including Inusah Mahama, Deputy CEO of the National Youth Authority; Joan Selasie Ahiawordor, Deputy CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program; Kekeshie Prisca Sedinam, Deputy CEO of the Youth Employment Agency; and Yaw Adu-Brobey, Ghana’s Youth Representative in the UK.
The engagements are expected to strengthen Ghana-UK relations in youth development and open up fresh opportunities for young people across the country through skills training, entrepreneurship support, and employment pathways.
