Acclaimed photography duo, Twinsdntbeg, have stirred the artistic community with their controversial yet compelling perspective on nudity in art. In a recent interview with Lily Mohammed, they discussed their experiences capturing high-profile women in nude photoshoots, emphasizing the artistic value rather than mere exposure.
“People often rush to judgment when they hear ‘nude photoshoot,’ but for us, nudity is art,” one of the twins explained. “We’ve had very high-profile clients who appreciate this perspective. They see it as an expression of art and beauty, not as something vulgar.”
The photographers elaborated on the challenges faced initially. “When we started, convincing clients about our artistic vision was tough. Now, many high-profile ladies come to us, eager for a nude shoot that tells a story through our lens.”
They emphasized that their work is about capturing the essence of the subject, not just their physical form. “The way we photograph a nude model is meant to evoke the same emotions you feel when looking at classical art in museums. Our goal is to make viewers see beyond the nudity to the story being told through light, shadow, and composition.”
Addressing concerns about the thin line between art and pornography, Twinsdntbeg were clear. “There’s a significant difference between what we do and what some might consider explicit. Our work is about creating meaningful, thought-provoking images. The lighting, angles, and overall concept play crucial roles in ensuring the final image is art, not exposure.”
They pointed out that true artistry in nude photography involves professionalism and a deep understanding of the subject. “You can do naked shoots, but they must have a purpose. It’s not just about showing someone’s body; it’s about making a statement, telling a story through the image.”
The photographers concluded by reiterating their belief in the power of photography. “Photography is about storytelling. Each shot, especially in nude art, should highlight and convey a deeper narrative. That is the essence of our work.”
