In the heart of Ghana’s Ashanti Region, Kumasi, once renowned as the “Garden City,” is poised for a transformative rebirth. As the city seeks a leader who can revitalize its central business district and restore its former glory, Ofori Agyeman Boadi, affectionately known as “King Zuba,” emerges as a compelling candidate for the mayor position.

With a stellar track record of delivering monumental developmental projects, King Zuba is ready to bring his expertise to Kumasi.

A Legacy of Achievement in Obuasi

During his tenure as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Obuasi, King Zuba left an indelible mark on the city’s landscape. His collaborative efforts with notable figures resulted in the establishment of the Obuasi City campus of the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). This landmark achievement not only expanded educational opportunities but also positioned Obuasi as a hub for innovation and intellectual growth.

Economic and Infrastructure Development

King Zuba’s vision for economic prosperity led to the creation of the Obuasi Industrial Hub, a strategic initiative that has significantly boosted local businesses and employment opportunities.

His commitment to modernizing infrastructure was evident in the completion and operationalization of the Obuasi Horsey Park Lorry Terminal and the construction of the Kunka Lorry Terminal. These projects have streamlined transportation, facilitating smoother movement of goods and people.

Enhancing Healthcare and Justice

In the healthcare sector, King Zuba’s leadership resulted in the establishment of four new clinics in Obuasi, ensuring that residents have better access to quality medical services.

Additionally, he played a pivotal role in setting up the Obuasi High Court, a move that has enhanced the administration of justice and provided a more accessible legal system for the community.

Education and Community Development

King Zuba also spearheaded a comprehensive infrastructural facelift of the Obuasi CKC Senior High School. This initiative not only improved educational facilities but also underscored his dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

A New Era for Kumasi

As Kumasi looks to the future, King Zuba’s proven track record makes him an ideal candidate to lead the city’s transformation.

His ability to instill confidence, drive development, and bring about tangible change aligns perfectly with Kumasi’s aspirations. With his vision and leadership, Kumasi can once again flourish as a vibrant and thriving urban center, reclaiming its status as the “Garden City” of old.

King Zuba’s candidacy offers Kumasi a unique opportunity to embrace a brighter future, one that is built on the foundations of innovation, progress, and community development. As the city prepares for this new chapter, the question on everyone’s lips is: Can King Zuba lead Kumasi to its former glory and beyond? The answer lies in his achievements and his unwavering commitment to the people of Kumasi.
