The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has confirmed that the 161kV Aboadze–Tarkwa transmission line has been successfully repaired, restoring electricity to all affected areas as of 13:22 hours today.
In a statement, the Ministry thanked residents and businesses in the Western and Ashanti Regions, particularly those in Tarkwa and Kumasi, for their patience and understanding during the downtime.
Special appreciation was extended to the technical team from GRIDCo and other supporting agencies, whose dedication and tireless efforts ensured the line was repaired in record time.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring reliable power transmission nationwide and pledged to continue working with stakeholders in the electricity sector to maintain a stable and efficient energy supply across the country.
