President John Dramani Mahama has commended Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) for what he described as a significant institutional turnaround, noting that the Company has transformed from a struggling entity into a success story within the public sector.
Speaking during a meeting with the Board and Management of GPCL, the President acknowledged that for many years the Company suffered from a weak public image and low institutional confidence.
“When you talk about State-Owned Enterprises, people’s attention often goes to a few well-known names. For a long time, Ghana Publishing did not have a very good brand,” the President stated.
He noted, however, that the situation has changed, describing the current state of GPCL as encouraging and worthy of recognition.
The President’s remarks position GPCL as an example of how focused leadership, innovation, and institutional reform can reverse long-standing negative perceptions within the public sector.
