April Communications Ltd will on  April 29, 2017,  stage  ‘Prison Graduates’ written by celebrated Ghanaian playwright; the Late Efo kodjo Mawugbe  at the National Theatre.

The play, a political satire about Ghana, highlights some serious issues on a light note. It talks about situations in the country which  includes young and energetic people paying huge sums of money to go abroad to seek greener pastures, and the hospitals where ‘cash and carry’ method is practiced,  the situation where churches are corrupt and the congregation, naive.

In 2009 the PRISON GRADUATES won English as a 2nd Language category of the BBC World Service/British Council International Radio Play writing Competition.

The producers of the play promise to fulfill the intentions of the writer to make you “laugh at our folly, whilst realizing that we are all part of the challenges our country face, and can contribute to the solutions”.

The play features great talents like celebrated actor Adjetey Anang , comedian Clemento Suarez , Chapman & Oheneba Mensah- Bonsu, Prempeh Afari and directed by Fiifi Coleman.
