Over 70 athletes and officials representing Ghana for the first ever West African Paralympic Games have arrived in Abeokuta, Nigeria, for the games.
The games will bring together Para athletes from all Fifteeen (15) ECOWAS Member States, providing a significant platform to showcase sporting excellence.
Ghana will present a formidable delegation of over 100 para athletes, coaches, and officials, competing across nine (9) sports disciplines: Amputee Football, Para Athletics, Para Powerlifting, Para Badminton, Para Swimming, Para Table Tennis. Sitting Volleyball ( Wheelchair Basketball, and Wheelchair Tennis.
The leadership of the NPC-Ghana expressed confidence in Team Ghana’s ability and readiness to make a strong showing at the Games, highlighting the athletes’ dedication, discipline, and steady progress in their training programmes.
