The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye has challenged members of the Church working in various sectors of the Ghanaian economy to uphold the principle of truth in their endeavours to change the status quo of widespread dishonesty.

Truth which is the most valuable and important ingredient a nation requires to strive, Apostle Nyamekye bemoaned has rather “fallen on the street”.

He thus challenged Christians at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoah Fetteh during the inauguration of the Pentecost Professional Network on Saturday, June 8, 2019, to hold on to the divine principle of truth regardless the repercussions, adding, the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth.

According to Apostle Nyamekye, Ghana’s destiny is in the hands of the Church, therefore the need for Christians to possess the nation to correct the travesty of Christianity by being “agents of transformation, salt and light to the world”.

“Some of you are in the Banks, some are in the Schools, and some are in the Hospitals. God is doing all these so that, they who do not know Him may seek Him and perhaps find Him. Allow yourself to be a true branch of Jesus Christ so wherever you are, know that you are representing the Truth. Truth has fallen in the street but it shouldn’t fall in the Church,” he said during the inauguration of the Pentecost Professional Network, an amalgamated body of various professional guilds formed in the Church.

Apostle Nyamekye quoted various scriptures to demonstrate how some governors and people in top positions in the Bible engaged in acts of bribery and corruption, circumvented the truth and the consequences therein to advise the various professional bodies to desist from such acts rather be epitome of honesty in their various professional fields of work to help Ghana move forward to the Glory of God.

Executives of the various Professional Guilds including Media, Health, Education, Banking and Finance, IT, Music, Judicial and Legal, Built Environment among others were sworn-into office with the task of strengthening the body of Christ through a supportive network of like-minded professionals dedicated to helping each other and ensuring that members are guided to manifest the principle of Christianity in their workplaces to impact generations.

Present were General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Nana Yaw Kumi Larbi Junior, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante-an Executive Council Member and hosts of Area heads and District Pastors of the Church.
