Hosts India suffered 1-2 defeat to Colombia in their second Group A clash of the FIFA U-17 World Cup at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium later today.
Colombia’s Juan Penaloza scored a brace in the match in 49th and 83rd minute and India’s Jeakson Singh Thaunaojam equalized in the 82nd minute
India went down fighting 0-3 against a robust USA in their opening match.
The boys in blue, who are without a single point and with a two goal difference and are currently standing at the bottom in Group A.
Colombia, on the other hand, also slumped to a 0-1 defeat against Ghana in their first match.
Earlier in another Group A encounter, Ghana were piped by the USA at the same venue while Turkey were thrashed by Mali 0-3 in their Group B encounter.
Meanwhile, Paraguay thrashed New Zealand by 4-2 in their Group B encounter.
