The Volta Regional Secretariat of the opposition National Democratic Congress has received some modern office equipment to support its administrative operations.
The items which include five (5) hp laptops, a projector and a printer were presented to the Secretariat earlier today, 3rd December, 2023 on behalf of a member of the UK-Ireland Chapter, Prosper Lincoln Kabotsyoe, who also serves as a member of the Volta NDC Finance Committee.
The donation was made through the party’s Director of International Relations, Alex Segbefia.
In a short remark, Mr. Segbefia indicated that, the gesture was in response to a request made to him by the Regional Executives of the party.
The former Minister, noted further, that the purpose of presenting the items is to equip the NDC party and its office in Ho to ensure efficiency as the party prepares for the 2024 general elections.
He commended the donor and remarked that, “he is a well known supporter of the party and a hardworking son of the land who is willing to assist the party to come to power in 2024.”
The Volta Regional Chairman of the party, Mawutor Agbavitor who receive the items on behalf of the secretariat expressed the party’s gratitude to the donor and promised to ensure the items are put to good use.
Mr. Agbavitor, used the opportunity to further call on other party members and sympathizers to support the party in the region as the 2024 polls approach.
The presentation was done in the presence of other party stalwarts including former Deputy Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Ketu North, James Klutsey Avedzi, former Deputy Regional Minister, Francis Komla Ganyaglo, Joseph Amenorwode, a former Regional Minister, Wisdom Joe Gidisu, also a former Minister for Roads and Highway and the venerable Dan Abodakpui among others.
