Webster University holds 3rd graduation ceremony

The Ghana Campus of Webster University held its 3rd graduation ceremony last Saturday at the forecourt of its campus in East Legon, Accra.

Nine students were honored after 14 months of studies in Master of Arts in International Relations, Bachelor of Arts in Management, Master of Arts in Business and Management, and Master of Business Administration

Speaking at the event, the Campus Director of Webster University, Madam Christa Sanders, said “we believe our graduates are the next generation of global leaders and change makers who will not only make a true impart in society but are also well equipped to meet the demands of an ever-complex world. Our graduates are ambitious and have the skills that will propel them towards greater heights. We are therefore excited about the many new opportunities that await them both here and abroad.”

According to her, the graduates having been exposed to extraordinary faculty lecturers from all corners of the globe, she is optimistic that the graduates are leaving inspired.

She challenged them not to take the education they have received for granted.

“You have been provided with many unique opportunities- from study abroad to exposure to global faculty who are experts in their respective fields to stimulating public lecture series and debates that engage the community of East Legon and beyond….. We trust Webster has played a significant role in your academic journey. Having all you have experience in mind, we therefore challenge you to make your mark, be a game changer, become a global ambassador, and challenge the status quo! There is nothing you cannot achieve from this day forward” she stated.

The Public Affairs Counsellor at US Embassy and Acting Deputy Ambassador, Daniel Fennel speaking on behalf of the  U.S. Ambassador Robert P. Jackson, tasked the graduates think globally thus contributing to the development of their countries and the world.

The Ghana Campus was established in 2013 and received accreditation from both the National Accreditation Board of Ghana and the Higher Learning Commission of the United States the same year. The opening of the Ghana Campus has been a pivotal moment in Webster’s 102 year history in that the campus represents the first international location in Sub-Saharan Africa!

Webster University offers post-graduate MBA, MA International Relations degrees, bachelor degrees in Management, Media Communications and International Relations.
