A former Minister for Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has been appointed as the Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress.
Minister for Health in the erstwhile John Dramani administration Alex Segbefia has also been appointed as the NDC’s Director of International Relations with Abraham Amaliba named as the Director of Legal Affairs.
The appointment of officers for the NDC was made during an emergency meeting Wednesday.
The appointees are meant to ensure a smooth flow of activities for the NDC before, during and after the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in 2020.
Kofi Annor, Salas Mensah, Osei Kwame Griffiths, and Kakrah Essamuah were appointed national Vice Chairman, national treasurer, Director of IT and Director of Communication respectively.
Other appointees include Alhaji Haruna Rasheed, William Ahadzie, Emmanuel Zumakpeh and Bede Ziedeng who were named Director of Research, Rector GISD, Director of Administration and Director of Special Duties respectively.
Members of the co-opted NEC members include Satty Occra, Betty Mould Iddrisu and Evans Aidoo, whiles members of the national disciplinary committee include Steve Obimpe as Chairman, Naval Captain Assai Gyimah and Rt. Hon. Kenneth Dzirasah as members.
