Rising Star in Broadcast Excellence, Emmanuel Agyabeng has been nominated in Male Newscaster of the
Year category for the prestigious 2023 Visa King Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards. His
nomination is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence as a Finance and Economic
Reporting Journalist with the EIB Network.

The RTP Awards, an annual celebration of outstanding achievements in the media industry, provides a
platform to honor those who have demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication. Emmanuel
Agyabeng finds himself in contention for the Male Newscaster of the Year alongside seven other
distinguished journalists from renowned media houses.

Emmanuel’s journey to this nomination is marked by his remarkable victory in the inaugural season of
the Next TV Star, a triumph that catapulted him into the forefront of the TV broadcasting arena. Over
the past two years, he has become a familiar face on GHOne TV, captivating audiences with his insightful
analyses of economic and financial matters.
Emmanuel’s ability to simplify complex issues for audiences across Ghana sets him apart from others.
With a background in accounting and finance, his seamless transition into the media space has left many
in awe. His presentations exude effortlessness, making current affairs and finance-related topics
accessible and engaging to a broad audience.

Emmanuel Agyabeng’s mentorship under the wing of celebrated media personality Nana Aba Anamoah
has played a crucial role in shaping his trajectory. From anchoring the business brief on STARR 103.5 FM
to handling “Wake Up to Money” on GHToday and reading the ‘Business Brief’ on GHOne TV, Emmanuel
has demonstrated versatility and poise.
His journey into Prime Time News, a ‘confidence move’ prompted by the absence of a senior colleague,
was nothing short of flawless. His adept questioning and excellent delivery showcased a level of
professionalism that belied his relatively short time in the industry.

Reflecting on his nomination, he expressed gratitude, saying, “I can only appreciate the growth from
whence I came and the hands that have aided me to this point.” He extended special thanks to the EIB
Network, Nana Aba Anamoah, Serwaa Amihere, and the English Cluster Newsroom for their unwavering
support.
