A coalition of over 490 constituency youth organizers and their deputies from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has picked up nomination forms on behalf of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the party’s 2026 presidential primaries.
The group, drawn from constituencies across the country, converged at the NPP headquarters on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in a show of solidarity for Dr. Bawumia’s bid to lead the party into the next general election.
According to the organizers, this move is a demonstration of their “unshakable belief” in his leadership, citing his track record in digital transformation, economic reforms, and youth empowerment as the basis for their backing.
From the party headquarters, the coalition embarked on a symbolic walk to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign office to present the forms, pledging to rally nationwide grassroots support for his candidacy ahead of the primaries.
