Data from the last opinion polls conducted by Global Info Analytics suggest that all leading National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirants would outperform former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 elections.
Speaking on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey on Monday, February 2, Musa Dankwa, Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, stated that the poll scenarios were prepared in December 2025.
He noted that among the NDC candidates, Finance Minister Dr. Casseil Ato Forson led Dr. Bawumia with 58 percent of respondents indicating support, while Dr. Bawumia received only 38 percent.
Similarly, Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu polled 56 percent to Dr. Bawumia’s 40 percent, and the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, recorded 53 percent to 43 percent.
“We asked them if the 2028 elections were held today. And NDC presents Ato Forson against Dr. Bawumia. Who would you vote for? And then, since we are here today, we know it is NPP, Bawumia who has won. So let’s stick to just Bawumia. So Ato Forson against Bawumia, Ato Forson is 58%, Bawumia 38%. If you say Haruna Iddrisu against Bawumia, it is Haruna Iddrisu 56%, Bawumia 40%.

If you say Asiedu Nketia against Bawumia, Asiedu Nketia is 53%, Bawumia 43%. And Julius Debrah at the time was 50%, and Bawumia 46%. So if the elections were held in December, and these were the options that we made available to the public, this is what the people said they would do. This was as of December,” Dankwa explained.
Commenting on the predictive value of polls, Dankwa added, “Science and data have been vindicated. Not me, as a person. Science, I mean a survey or a poll, properly conducted with the right methodology. It always prevails.”
He noted that the results reflect voter sentiment at the time and cautioned that public opinion may evolve in the lead-up to the 2028 general elections.
