The 37 Military Hospital has undergone significant upgrades in diagnostic and monitoring equipment, Defence Minister, Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, has disclosed.
Delivering an address during the Government Accountability Series at the Jubilee House on Monday, July 21, 2025, Dr Boamah described the hospital as “the crown jewel of our military health system and a national emergency response centre.”
He noted that the upgrades include new oxygen compressor systems and modern diagnostic imaging machines such as CT scanners and X-ray units. Additional enhancements comprise digital patient monitors, a cold room for pharmaceutical preservation, and high-grade dental sterilizers.
“These upgrades meet 21st-century standards and reaffirm our commitment to investing in the health of our defenders,” he stated.
The Defence Minister added that the intervention forms part of President John Dramani Mahama’s RESET Ghana agenda to strengthen national defence through robust infrastructure and resilient systems.
