PROFILE

Kati G, who has received wide recognition for the soothing tone of her voice, has already been associated with key contemporary acts including Okyeame Kwame, and dancehall singer Epixode.

She is a Berklee College of Music graduate.

Born to a Ghanaian mother and father based in the US, at age eight, Catherine Eno Adutwumwaa Owusu-Sakyi – her real name – began her music career when she decided to learn how to play the cello and clarinet.

The following year, she decided to focus on specializing in one of the instruments. The instrument she chose was the cello. Within the next 15 years, she groomed herself into a cellist.

Although she studied the cello for many years, her passion for music also pushed her to pursue skills in rapping, singing, composing and producing music. Those musical talents of hers eventually gained her admission into Berklee College of Music.
