The Finance Department of Stanbic Bank Ghana, as part of their annual Corporate Social Engagements, has supported the Hope Children’s Village in the Central Region and Klicks Africa Foundation institutions with food items and various sums of money to aid the effective running of the institutions.

At the Hope Children’s Village, the team presented items including toiletries, foodstuff, and assorted drinks to the orphanage. The team also donated a sum of GHS 5,000 towards buying books and other learning materials for the children.

Victor Yeboah-Manu, Chief Finance Officer at Stanbic Bank, led the delegation from the bank and encouraged the young children to focus on their education to become responsible members of society.

He stated, “At Stanbic Bank, we are committed to fostering national growth through promoting quality education. As proud members of the bank, we at the finance department have decided to contribute towards this by supporting the management of the Village of Hope Orphanage in their efforts to provide quality education for the brilliant children in their care. We have been here in previous years and we are glad to see how the institution has developed.

“We have seen how the management of the orphanage has prioritized the education of these young children and we have therefore decided to make our support an annual tradition. This year we have come to present items including foodstuff, water, and toiletries to the institution We are also presenting a cash donation that will support management in purchasing notebooks, stationery, and other learning materials to enhance the learning experience for the children.”

He added, “To our wonderful young children, education is a powerful tool that can push you towards achieving your dreams. Regardless of the challenges you face, you must take advantage of the opportunities you have. We at the Finance Department of Stanbic Bank believe in you and want to help you make your dreams come true. I am certain that if you take your studies seriously you have the potential to become responsible, contributing members of our society. Remember that the future of our country is in your hands and we know you will play a pivotal role in transforming our country for the better.

Managing Director of the Hope Children’s Village, Samuel Osei Addo, accepted the donation on behalf of the ‘village’ and thanked the bank for their continuous support over the past three years. At Klicks Africa Foundation, the Stanbic Bank team donated a sum of GHS 30,000 to the foundation. Nana Dickson, Head of Management Accounting Finance at Stanbic Bank led the delegation from the bank and shared that this donation formed part of the bank’s agenda to support the vulnerable in society.

He said “At Stanbic, we always say that Ghana is our home and we drive her growth. For this reason, we at the bank’s finance department have decided to visit the Klicks Foundation to spend time with our future leaders. We believe that nobody should be denied access to quality education regardless of their background or physical challenges. Today we are donating GHS 30,000 to support the management of the Klicks Foundation to continue the amazing work they are doing for these brilliant children. It is wonderful to see how committed the management of the school is to providing these children with the proper care and the right environment for them to study and become productive members of society.”

Mr. Asiamah Kuffour, Co-Founder of Klicks Africa Foundation thanked Stanbic Bank for their donation saying, “On behalf of the Klicks Foundation I am grateful to the Finance Department of Stanbic Bank for this wonderful donation. Providing proper care for these children and giving them access to quality education is our ultimate goal. Unfortunately, this requires great financial commitment which can be challenging at times. This donation is an answer to our prayers and will go a long way to help us support these brilliant children and provide them with the right environment to study and develop their skills. Thank you all.”
