Don’t vote for NPP to continue its misgovernance – Beatrice Annan to voters

The Deputy spokesperson for the Mahama 2024 Campaign, Beatrice Annan has said that any vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) means it is okay to have access to so much money with little to show.

Speaking on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey, Madam Annan said that voting against the NPP government will teach politicians that politics is about making the lives of the people better and not worse.

“They have made the lives of the people worse. So there is no need to reward misgovernance. When you vote for the NPP you are telling them that it is okay for a president to come and have 51 family and friends in his government.

“Award contracts to his daughter to the tune of 34 million dollars at the time when these people have not even incorporated a company”, she stated

According to her, a vote for NPP means it is okay for corruption to be as high as it is today.

“This government annually on average is recording corruption of 12 billion, 10 billion. I mean these are scary figures. That 12 billion can find space in the pockets of people to ease suffering”, madam Annan said.

The spokesperson further said that a vote for the NPP will mean that it is right to be in power for 8 years without having any regional hospital.

“This government owes budgetary allocations from 2017 till now. They have had access to 1 trillion”, she disclosed.

Meanwhile, ex-president Mahama in four years had access to just a little over 200 billion so NPP has had five times what President Mahama had.

“Yet President Mahama built UGMC hospital, Bank of Ghana hospital, the Maritime hospital, Ridge hospital, Dodowa hospital, Fomina hospital, Bolgatanga hospital and so many others across the length and breadth of the country. And you have 1 trillion and you don’t have anything to show. So what do you need votes for?” she added.
