Residents and businesses in parts of the Accra West Region are set to experience a temporary power outage today, Friday, April 10, 2026, as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) undertakes emergency maintenance works.
In a public notice, ECG explained that the exercise is aimed at improving service delivery, but will require a scheduled interruption in power supply.
“ECG will undertake emergency maintenance works to improve service delivery. This will result in a temporary outage,” the statement said.
The planned maintenance will take place between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Areas expected to be affected include Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sarpeiman, Satellite, and surrounding communities.
“Date: Friday, 10th April, 2026. Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm. Affected areas: Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sarpeiman, Satellite, and surrounding areas,” ECG stated.
The company has apologised to customers for the inconvenience the exercise may cause.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the notice added.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions ahead of the scheduled outage.
