Samsung Ghana powers culture and creativity at 2026 UG All Dance Carnival

Samsung, in partnership with the Department of Dance Studies at the University of Ghana, successfully staged the 2026 All Dance Carnival 2026.

The three-day festival became a vibrant convergence of culture, creativity, and technology, bringing together students, professional dancers, choreographers, academics, and young creatives from across Ghana.

Under the theme “Dancing Our Stories: Celebrating Identity, Creativity & Connection,” the carnival evolved beyond a traditional university programme into an immersive creative experience. Activities ranged from high-energy pre-launch jam sessions powered by Samsung speakers to the lively Dancerobics session hosted at the UG Poolside.

The festival also created space for intellectual and creative exchange through academic paper presentations, workshops, and networking sessions held at Seminar Rooms 1 and 2. The spaces, fitted with Samsung TVs to support presentations and exhibitions, enabled participants to engage with ideas at the intersection of dance, culture, and innovation. Audiences were treated to a rich blend of traditional Ghanaian dance forms such as Agbadza alongside contemporary choreography and Afro-pop-inspired performances.

Capturing the spirit and energy of the festival was the new Samsung Galaxy A57, Samsung’s latest mid-range flagship smartphone. Featuring a 50MP triple-rear camera system and advanced Nightography technology, the device delivered sharp, vibrant footage during evening performances, preserving colouraccuracy and detail even in low light.

According to Samsung, the partnership reflects the brand’s commitment to empowering the next generation of creatives, adding that technology should help young Ghanaians tell their stories boldly. “By powering the All Dance Carnival with the Galaxy A57 5G and supporting the dance challenge, we created a platform where culture meets innovation.”

A dedicated product experience zone showcasing a range of Samsung devices also attracted strong engagement throughout the festival. Interactive walk-in giveaway challenges kept the atmosphere lively across the event days, while the Fashion Dance Runway showcase creatively integrated Samsung products into one of the carnival’s most visually captivating segments.

One of the festival’s standout activations was the “Dancing Our Stories Challenge,” a Samsung-powered social media campaign that encouraged participants to recreate original dance routines, add their own signature moves, and share videos across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X. Participants tagged the Department of Dance Studies and Samsung Ghana using hashtags including #AllDanceCarnival26, #DanceDepartmentUG, #DanceWithSamsungGH, #TryGalaxy, and #SamsungGH, with winners receiving Galaxy devices and Samsung-branded souvenirs.

Winners of the dance challenge included Victoria Siaw Mensah, Samuel Augustus Koranteng, Emmanuel Owusu, Mavis Abroakwah, Emmanuel Kofi El-Roi Ekwam, Alex Kofi Arthur, and Isaac Kofi Ertie Appoh, who received amazing prizes such as the Samsung Galaxy A35 devices, earbuds, and Samsung Galaxy Fit3.

Samsung Ghana’s involvement in the All Dance Carnival 2026 further strengthens the brand’s growing footprint in youth empowerment, arts, and education, underscoring its continued investment in the future of Ghana’s creative economy.
