In his statement, Justice Baffoe Bonnie emphasized the need for national unity in the face of this immense loss.
On behalf of the Judiciary and the Judicial Service of Ghana, the Acting Chief Justice prayed that Ghanaians would come together in solidarity and forge ahead in national unity, as the nation mourns the tragic death of its citizens.
The Acting Chief Justice extended deepest condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the bereaved families, and the entire nation, describing the victims as patriots who dedicated their lives to serving the country.
He also prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in eternal peace and for strength, comfort, and healing to be granted to those affected by the calamity.
