Executive Director of Event Factory, Nabil Alhassan, has clarified that artists who perform at Sarkodie’s annual Rapperholic concert are not paid for their appearances, explaining that the event thrives on long-standing industry relationships and mutual support.
Speaking on Starr Showbiz with Feeling Daddy on Saturday, October 4, 2025, Alhassan said the concert’s lineup is largely influenced by Sarkodie’s personal connections with other artists, as well as the prestige associated with performing on the Rapperholic stage.
“With the artists, this is what happens with Rapperholic. Sarkodie has a relationship with all these artists,” he explained. “Rapperholic has always been a concert that people want to be on. Some of the artists even reach out and say they want to come support us – that’s how it’s been since.”

He further noted that while performers are not paid performance fees, the organizers often cater for their travel and lodging expenses.
“If artists are being paid, I don’t know, because I don’t think anyone is being paid. Sometimes we take care of their transport, flight, accommodation, but to pay them as artists, no,” Alhassan said. “There’s that friendship and relationship with Sarkodie on that side, and he also does that for other guys.”
