Executive Director of Event Factory, Nabil Alhassan, has described award-winning rapper Sarkodie as a “talkative” whose expressive nature is best heard through his music rather than in public conversations.
Speaking on Starr Showbiz with Feeling Daddy on Starr 103.5 FM on Saturday, October 4, Nabil explained that while Sarkodie often speaks his mind through his art, he prefers to maintain a quiet, low-profile lifestyle offstage.
“I’d say Sarkodie is a talkative – you can hear it in his music. But when it comes to his personal brand, he doesn’t want to talk. He always wants to be by himself, be out of the news, and make the music project him at the forefront,” he said.
Nabil, whose company has been behind the organisation of the annual Rapperholic concert, added that Sarkodie’s reserved nature forms part of his brand identity, which thrives on professionalism and mystery rather than controversy.
He also noted that both he and the artist share a similar philosophy when it comes to dealing with media attention.
“Most of the time, I try my best to stay away from conversations and reacting to things. And I think that’s the same thing he has also employed – keeping quiet over stuff,” he explained.

Nabil’s comments come amid ongoing discussions about public perception of celebrities who maintain privacy despite their fame. He believes Sarkodie’s approach demonstrates that an artist can be outspoken through their craft while maintaining composure and focus outside the studio.
