Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has formally invited President John Dramani Mahama to the final funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The invitation was delivered at the Presidency in Accra by a delegation led by Amoamanhene Nana Agyenim Boateng I.
President Mahama expressed condolences to the Asantehene and Asanteman, assuring that he will attend the royal funeral scheduled for September 15–18, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the 14th Queen of Asanteman, passed away on August 7, 2025, aged 98. Born in 1927 to Asantehemaa Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem III and Opanin Kofi Foffie, she was the eldest of five siblings, including Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Known in early life as Nana Panin, she underwent traditional puberty rites, later married Opanin Kwame Boateng of Aduman, and was baptised Ruth in the Saviour Church of Ghana in 1959.
She was also Anglican by convention.

By profession, Nana Yiadom III was a caterer, farmer, and petty trader. She ascended the Asantehemaa stool in February 2017 following the death of her mother, fulfilling a prophecy of the Kwaku Firi Shrine.

During her reign, she was widely praised as fair, firm, and honest in judgment. The Nana Konadu Saviour School at Bonwire was named in her honour.
