The Barbados High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Juliette Bynoe‑Sutherland, has been appointed Grand Mentor for Cohort 3 of the prestigious Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray (EwithBR) startup mentorship project, lending global insight to the growing initiative.

Bynoe‑Sutherland’s diplomatic lens is set to broaden EwithBR’s scope, complementing its expertise-rich mentor panel:

The announcement was made at the grand launch of Cohort 3 of the project in Accra.

During her presentation, she said, “I willingly accept the role of being a grand mentor, and I’m excited to do so.”

She told the young entrepreneurs, “Management is a science of getting things done through people, technology, and through resources that you have and your ability.”

Bola Ray, the Executive Director of BR Institute and vision-bearer of the EwithBR, praised the appointment: “We are honoured to have Her Excellency Juliette Bynoe‑Sutherland as our Grand Mentor. Her experience and dedication to youth development are invaluable to this mission.”

He reiterated the initiative’s guiding principles: Entrepreneurship, mentorship, and innovation form the programme’s pillars, and he urged the mentees to “take advantage of the resources available to you, collaborate, and absorb as much as you can.”

This year’s mentees were carefully chosen from various regions and sectors, including Sarah Lartey, Senyegbe Agbemabiase, Queenstar Nsakie, Keziah Ama Odorkor Daniels, Aboagye Theophilus, Yvonne Nuoriyee, Joshua Kobina Baah, Solomon Bentum Mensah, Atigsimah Richard Akamboe, Agnes Agyemang, Kwabena Owusu, Hannah Appiah, Alberta Nana Ama Awuku, Sylvia Andzie-Quainoo, and Shadrach Kofi Ansah.

Esteemed mentors include Dr. Chanita Foster – Founder, Rockstar Global Investments, Anand Badami – Senior Vice President, Publicis West Africa, Albert Biga – CEO, Oasis Properties and Construction Ltd, Fabio Petroni – Director, E4Impact Foundation, Kofi Amoa-Abban – CEO, Rigworld Group.

Others are: Brent Nartey – Managing Director, Engen Ghana Ltd, Dr. Toni Aubynn – CEO, Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, H.E. Ameenah Garib-Fakim – Former President, Republic of Mauritius, Prof. Benjamin Fordjour – BFM Global, and Dr. Edwin Provencal – Engineer, Entrepreneur

Founded in late 2023 with EU support and later joined by UNESCO and Alisa Hotels in Cohort 2, EwithBR provides mentorship, seed funding, branding, and training to ambitious young Ghanaian founders.

Under Bynoe‑Sutherland’s mentorship, Cohort 3 is poised for transformational growth.
