Ghana’s Black Maidens have named their final squad for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, with the team set to begin their campaign against Norway on Sunday, October 18.

The squad features three goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and five forwards, as Ghana prepare to compete against some of the world’s best young female footballers at the tournament.

In goal, Belinda Maku Aklie of Cabfix Ladies, Rahima Abubakari Napari of Northern City Ladies and Josephine Nyanfule of Fosu Royals Ladies have been selected to provide the team’s goalkeeping options.

The defensive unit includes Matilda Abu Bonsra Amoah, Haj ara Adam, Latifa Musah, Mavis Koah, Rafia Osman, Juliana Gyekye waa and Seraphina Essenam Esse. The defenders represent clubs including Arm of God Ladies, Tamale Super Ladies, Sissamba Ladies, Rootz Sistaz, Savannah Ladies and Oak Ladies.

Ghana’s midfield will be anchored by Belinda Kpentey, Christiana Ashiaku, Benedicta Danso Nketiah, Seidatu Wahab, Zeinab Shani and Sekinatu Amadu, alongside other selected options. The group brings together players from clubs including Rootz Sistaz, KAC Ladies, Oak Ladies, Savannah Ladies and Jonina Ladies FC.

The forward line features Priscilla Mensah, Linda Aghaa, Jessica A. Asamoah, Cynthia Obinsrewuo and Gloria A. Adomako. The attackers will be expected to provide the goals as Ghana look to make a strong impression at the global competition.

The Black Maidens begin their Group campaign against Norway on Sunday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, Pitch 3. They will then face Brazil on Wednesday, October 21, at the same venue and time before concluding their group-stage fixtures against Canada on Saturday, October 24, at 3:00 p.m. at Pitch 1 of the complex.

With a challenging group-stage schedule ahead, Ghana will be hoping to combine defensive discipline, midfield control and attacking efficiency to progress in the competition and make the country proud on the world stage.
