The Ghana Police Service has arrested Samuel Amadotor, a blogger with Dklassgh.net, for allegedly publishing false information about the former board chair of the National Communication Authority (NCA), Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio I.
This was announced by the police in a statement signed by Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawod of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) dated Thursday, November 20.
The police said Amadotor was picked up with support from the National Signals Bureau after Mr. Ababio lodged a complaint about a malicious publication made against him.
According to the police. during interrogation, the suspect reportedly admitted to the offence and claimed he had been contracted by an individual identified as Chairman Michael Yeboah to publish the false content.
Police say efforts are underway to track down Michael Yeboah to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Amadotor is currently in custody and is expected to be arraigned before court on Friday, November 21, 2025.
