The Police has announced that preparations are underway to fly injured officers from Thursday’s accident in the Upper East region to Accra for treatment.
In a statement acting Director General of Public Affairs for the Ghana Police Service , ACP Kwesi Ofori indicated that the police officers were injured in a fatal accident on the Walewale-Bolgatanga road.
ACP Kwesi Ofori stated that out of the five officers who were members of the Anti-robbery squad involved in the accident, two of them died on the spot while three are responding to treatment.
“Processes are underway to airlift the three injured officers to Accra for further treatment,” the statement disclosed.
