Chaos reportedly erupted at the Builsa North Constituency voting centres during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries on Saturday, January 31, 2026, as delegates allegedly demanded cash from Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign representative.

The nationwide NPP primaries are being held to select the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections, with five aspirants vying for the position: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyepong.

Party officials have yet to comment on the alleged incident, and results from Builsa North are expected later today after the close of polls and collation of ballots.
