The Central Regional Minister, Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah, has cultivated 100 acres of farmland to supply fresh produce for the School Feeding Programme, as part of President John Dramani Mahama’s 24-Hour Economy Market policy.
The initiative aims to provide schools directly with farm produce at affordable prices, making it easier for caterers to access fresh, quality food for meal preparation. The farm grows a variety of crops designed to enhance the nutritional value of meals served to schoolchildren, promoting their overall health and well-being.

Mr. Eduamoah has urged other ministers and Members of Parliament (MPs) to emulate the initiative in support of the President’s economic reset agenda.
Madam Janet Quansah, Regional Coordinator for the School Feeding Programme, commended the minister in an interview with Ghone News’ Yaw Boagyan, highlighting that the project will ease the financial burden on caterers who often struggle with the high cost of foodstuffs. She also noted that the initiative aligns with broader goals of boosting local food production and strengthening national food security.
