Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong has received overwhelming endorsement to return to Ghana’s Parliament in 2025 as Member of Parliament for New Juaben North constituency in the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic party (NPP).

Seth Kwame Acheampong was member of Parliament for Mpraeso constituency in the 5th, 6th and 7th Parliament of the fourth Republic but lost to incumbent MP David Ansah Opoku when attempted to seek fourth term.

President Akuffo Addo appointed him as Eastern Regional Minister in the his second term to use his leadership skills and Political experience to help execute his vision.

He took over from the former Eastern Regional minister Eric Kwakye Darfuor and assumed office in 2021 till date.

Seth Kwame Acheampong has since distinguished himself as a competent leader advancing and coordinating various developmental projects and attracting investors in the region.

The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (ERCC) was ranked second best out of the 16 Regional coordinating councils in 2021 performance assessment by the Local Government Service .A jump from thirteenth position in 2020 .

The Regional Minister was ranked 4th best Regional Minister in 2022 .

Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong who hails from both Kwahu and Koforidua Effiduase has therefore received massive endorsement after declaring intention to contest the Parliamentary primaries of the NPP in New Juaben North to contribute his quota to the development of the constituency.

Former New Juaben North chairman of NPP Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang has officially declared his support for Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong to become member of Parliament for the Constituency in 2025.

Addressing delegates and some members of the party in the Constituency recently, Chairman Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang vouched for the competence and leadership qualities of the Regional Minister which he says will inure to the benefit of the constituency when becomes MP.

He described him as an angel appointed by God for the people of New Juaben North assuring that when Hon. Seth Acheampong becomes MP “New Juaben North will never be neglected. God has appointed our angel for us. My interest must be for my family and people of New Juaben North to be satisfied and get development”.

Chairman Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang went on to state that, Seth Kwame Acheampong is a potential cabinet minister should Dr.Bawumia become President which will have far reaching benefits for the Constituency.

“I must support a leader whom when he becomes MP and Vice President (Dr Bawumia) becomes President of the Republic of Ghana can trust and work with.We can bet on this that when he (Regional Minister Seth Acheampong) becomes MP and by God’s grace Dr.Bawumia becomes President there are three top appointments that if he(Seth Acheampong) does not get one of them ,I will never believe human being again. These are Minster of Interior ,Minister of Defence and Minister of Roads”.

He stated that , Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong will then use the position to lobby for job opportunities and reposition New Juaben North to its political glory as constituency where founding member of the NPP (Hackman Owusu Agyemang) comes from which has also remained faithful to the NPP by consistently providing the party massive votes.
