The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced the launch of a nationwide revenue mobilisation drive dubbed “Operation All Must Pay”, aimed at collecting outstanding payments from customers across all sectors.
The campaign, scheduled to run from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025, will target residential, commercial, industrial, and government customers, according to a statement from the company.
Dr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, General Manager of External Communication at ECG, said special teams will be deployed to ensure compliance and crack down on illegal connections and power theft.
“This campaign is focused on all customers, including residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors,” he stated. “Special teams will be deployed to ensure compliance, and we will closely monitor for any illegal connections or attempts to reconnect power.”
The ECG attributes a significant portion of its financial challenges to unpaid bills and is urging all defaulting customers to settle their debts promptly to avoid disconnection and additional charges.
Dr. Ayiku encouraged customers to make secure payments using only approved methods, especially the official ECG Mobile App, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. He also cautioned against falling for fraudulent payment schemes promoted by scammers.
“The All Must Pay campaign is crucial for strengthening the financial health of ECG and improving service delivery, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply across the country,” he noted.
In addition to bill collection, ECG teams will inspect meter integrity and engage customers to resolve operational concerns.
The company has urged all customers with arrears to act immediately to avoid service interruptions and has directed them to its website and social media platforms for more information and updates.
