Kandifo Institute, a policy think tank that fosters youth development and leadership, has appointed Esther Adwoa Obiribea Danso as its Head of Global Youth Advocacy. This strategic move will strengthen the institute’s efforts in shaping youth-focused policies and global leadership initiatives.
With a proven track record in diplomacy, international relations, and intercultural communication, she steps into this role with a vision to empower young voices in policy dialogues and international collaborations. Before this appointment, she served as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and Diplomatic Relations Officer at Kandifo Institute, where she played an instrumental role in research, public relations, and high-profile international engagements.
Her academic credentials reflect her deep understanding of global affairs and cross-cultural diplomacy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and History from the University of Ghana and a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre. Currently, she is pursuing a second Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication at National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, further solidifying her expertise in multilingual diplomacy and global engagement.
Fluent in English and Spanish, with proficiency in German, she has actively promoted multilingualism, diplomacy, and youth empowerment through various platforms. She has also been involved with the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS) Ecumenical Young Peace Builders Team, where she has worked on initiatives promoting peace and cross-cultural understanding.
In her new role, Danso will focus on developing innovative advocacy strategies that enhance youth participation in international policymaking and socio-economic development. Her leadership at Kandifo Institute is expected to drive key conversations around youth empowerment, education, and leadership training in Africa and beyond.
