Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mustapha Ahmed has passed away.
The sad event occurred on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 after he battled illness for several months.
Dr. Ahmed was appointed by then President John Mahama but his tenure as Sports Minister was brief as he lasted eight months.
He was replaced by Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye in a reshuffle.
He was National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North from 2001 to 2016.
Dr. Ahmed, a former military officer and a dentist previously worked at the 37 Military Hospital.
