President John Dramani Mahama has launched a countrywide tour to personally review the state of government projects and reconnect with communities on development priorities.
The nationwide exercise, branded the “Resetting Ghana Tour,” is expected to take him through all 16 regions, where he will inspect ongoing works and evaluate how policies are translating into real impact at the local level.
The first stop is the Bono Region, where the President is scheduled to spend two days engaging local authorities, touring key project sites, and gathering feedback from residents and stakeholders.
Government officials say the initiative signals a shift toward more direct oversight, with the President opting to assess projects firsthand rather than relying solely on reports submitted at the presidency.
Minister for Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, indicated that the tour will bring together a broad mix of actors, including ministers, regional and district leaders, traditional authorities, and community influencers.
He made the remarks during an engagement at the Office of Government Communications attended by Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The tour is also expected to create space for direct interaction between government and citizens, allowing concerns to be raised while enabling officials to track implementation challenges across sectors.
Following the Bono leg, the President will continue the exercise in phases across other regions, with each visit expected to provide a clearer picture of national development progress and areas requiring intervention.
