Former Black Stars and Asante Kotoko defender Frimpong Manso is said to be in pole position to be appointed as the new Kotoko substantive coach in the coming days Starr Sports can reveal.
According to some past chairmen of the club, Manso is the next available coach for the Kotoko job if management of the club decides to employ a local coach.
Zdravko Logarusic was fired on by the club’s management on Sunday night two hours after their goalless draw with Ebusua Dwarfs in a league match.
The contract of Logarusic was terminated after an emergency Management meeting on Sunday at the club secretariat in Kumasi.
The meeting which was held primarily to discuss the coach’s future also decided that assistant coach Ablordey will take charge of the team until a substantive coach is found.
