The Deeper Christian Life Ministries is filling the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi with what promises to be the biggest congregation of youth as it meets schools, recognized youth groups, youth wings of churches, and heads of educational institutions ahead of its Impact Academy slated for Saturday, 27th July 2024.

The transformative event which comes off under the theme “Arise ready to change the world”; is an integral part of the mammoth Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) coming to the Ashanti Regional Capital from 25th – 30th July, 2024.

The global crusade which has directly impacted over five million attendees with countless millions who have tapped into GCK’s online broadcasts from across the world has proven with several testimonies, the life-changing influence that the Impact Academy has brought to their lives.

The Impact Academy is expecting to host at least forty thousand students from Junior High Schools; Senior High and Vocational and Technical Schools; SHS Graduates; students from tertiary institutions and other Institutions of higher learning;, National Service Personnel; young adults; young professionals teachers lecturers, and educators.

The Academy which will be beamed on a dozen television, radio, and online platforms, will feature prominent topics on academics, leadership, sound spiritual growth, responsible living, career choices, and professional success with a Keynote delivery on pursuing and achieving excellence in life.

A global question and answer session will be crowned with the convener’s sermon which anticipates a move of God to save many from drug addiction, occultism, and other afflictions bedeviling today’s youth.

The youth will be treated to a time of music; spoken word, drama, and choreography as well as the opportunity to network with colleagues and mentors.

Transformation & Impact

Speaking at an invitational conference at the GNAT Hall in Kumasi, Rev. Edward Tumsiah, Coordinator, GCK Secretariat, Kumasi recounted how his career choices and achievements in academia and ministry had been transformed through the messages of the convener Pastor Dr. William F. Kumuyi.

As a student who dropped out of school in the 1980s for lack of support; Rev. Edward Tumsiah narrated how Pastor Dr. Kumuyi’s story of studying mathematics all by himself to become a mathematics professor and one of the world acclaimed top 500 most powerful men in the planet, inspired him to also begin studying on his own when all hope was gone.

He recounted how he wrote and passed his ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels studying the entire senior Secondary Course including mathematics, English, economics, and government without a teacher and no classes.

Rev. Edward Tumsiah went on with good grades to study for a diploma and a degree program in the University and is currently offering his third Master’s and two different PHD courses in Two different Universities all on the inspiration he caught from the venerable Pastor Dr W.F. Kumuyi.

“I got the inspiration from Pastor Dr WF Kumuyi. The programs I attended and the youth impact events like this, have changed the trajectory of my life and that is why I am passionate to speak about what these programs can do to our young people,” he stated.

Challenging educators, heads of educational institutions, and directors of religious and recognized youth groups to commit to the success of the event, he emphasized the potential of the event to ignite a dramatic turn in the future prospects of Ghana and the world through the youth.

“When we spend our time, our money, and whatever to bring the young people together, we are helping the nation, we are building the future of this country and building a solid foundation for this country to become what it has to be. We are building the human resources and the capacity of this nation to become a powerful nation like all these countries that people are running to,” he encouraged.

In an interview with Ultimate News on the sidelines of the event, Rev. Edward Tumsiah made a strong call for efforts to tell the youth that all was not lost and that they could still hold on to hope for a brighter future despite the doom and gloom they see around them.

“We have a lot of youth who don’t know what they are about but we want to help them stir up their potentials. It is also a mentorship avenue and also a time for empowerment to live better lives. We cannot do this without the spiritual aspect because we are looking at a holistic development of the young person,” he explained.

The invitation seminar afforded participants the opportunity to watch video documentaries of the Impact Academy in which the convener who is in his 80s avidly speaks with youthful exuberance about his passion to help the youth ascend to higher heights.

GES Partners

The Ghana Education Service which is providing the biggest number of participants from basic, senior high schools and other second-cycle institutions under its watch, described the Impact Academy as “one of the most relevant partnerships that aligns with the vision of the service”.

Guidance and Counselling coordinator with the GES; Steven Asare Brew indicated, “this program will help in guidance, counseling, mentorship, student development, and leadership to holistically develop our students into what we want to see them become in the near future.”

He disclosed that the GES had put together an elaborate student selection plan, to manage numbers that will be trooping to the 40,000-seater stadium with the hope that these students will be change-makers in their schools through peer counseling.

To facilitate the movement of students, the GFK secretariat has made feeding and transportation arrangements to ensure that schools are not hindered by any resource constraints in getting their students safely to the venue.

GCK in Kumasi

The Ashanti Regional Capital Kumasi is counting down to a frantically awaited mammoth sweep of evangelism and revival as the Deeper Christian Life Ministries prepares to hold the acclaimed Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) from the 25th to the 30th of July 2024 in the garden city.

The flickers of GCK began to ignite into a global flame when its convener Pastor Dr. William F. Kumuyi began a broadcast on social media in the year 2021 when countries across the world were yearning for hope in the midst of lockdowns, a global economic recession, and huge losses of lives occasioned by the COVID 19 pandemic.

The crusade which has enjoyed a huge global following culminated into a physical crusade bearing the torch of the gospel of salvation; healing, miracles, redemption, and deliverance to several states and countries.

With the same fervor, the crusade which comes off in the Ashanti Region under the theme “Full salvation and total healing through Christ”, has galvanized denominations and recognized Christian fellowships and groupings all working frantically towards its successful rollout.
