As part of efforts to support and motivate party communicators in the lead-up to the December elections, George Krobea Asante, Deputy National Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), made a significant donation in the Nkawkaw and Abirem constituencies yesterday, October 13, 2024.

Mr. Asante donated a total of 12 brand-new mobile phones to selected party communicators across the two constituencies. The donation, aimed at enhancing their capacity to effectively propagate the achievements of the government and promote both the Presidential and Parliamentary candidates, forms part of the NPP’s broader strategy to mobilize support at the grassroots level.

In addition to the mobile phones, Mr. Asante also presented a mobile phone to the leader of the Volunteers group in the Abirem constituency. This gesture, he noted, was in recognition of her unwavering dedication and commitment to the party’s campaign.

Furthermore, Mr. Asante gave an undisclosed amount of cash to each communicator who received a phone, as a token of appreciation for their relentless work, particularly during these challenging times. He expressed hope that the donation would encourage the communicators to work even harder towards the party’s “Breaking the 8” agenda—a campaign focused on securing a third consecutive term in government.

“I believe this kind gesture will inspire the beneficiaries to continue their priceless stewardship for the party and give their all in ensuring we achieve our objectives in the upcoming elections,” Mr. Asante remarked.

The donation has been widely praised by local party members, who see it as a crucial step in galvanizing support ahead of a highly competitive electoral season.
