In a move aimed at boosting Ghana’s growing digital and creative economy, the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has received a consignment of desktop computers from electronics giant, Electroland Ghana Limited.

The donation is intended to support budding content creators enrolled in NEIP’s innovation and digital skills programs.

According to officials, the laptops, equipped with creative software and internet-enabled tools, will be distributed to selected young entrepreneurs working in areas such as digital storytelling, video production, podcasting, graphic design, and social media marketing.

Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Eric Adjei expressed gratitude to Electroland for what he described as a timely and impactful intervention.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to empowering young people. These desktop computers are not just machines; they’re tools of expression, innovation and economic transformation,” the CEO stated.

He noted that many talented youth across the country lack access to the basic digital tools needed to develop and monetize their skills. The donation, he said, would help bridge this gap and unlock new opportunities for Ghanaian creatives.

Meanwhile, Head of marketing and Media Relations at Electroland Ghana Limited stated that this is the company’s dedication to youth development and innovation in Ghana.

“We believe that every young person deserves access to the tools that can change their future. By supporting NEIP, we are investing in the future of content creation and entrepreneurship in Ghana.”

Electroland, known for distributing electronics and appliances such as TCL, Midea, and Nasco products, said it plans to explore more avenues for contributing to national development through technology.

NEIP, under the Ministry of Youth Development has been instrumental in promoting entrepreneurship across Ghana, particularly among youth and women. Through training, funding and incubation programs, the organization has supported thousands of startups and innovators nationwide.

This latest initiative is expected to amplify the voices of content creators across regions, especially those from underserved communities.

Mr Adjei indicated that recipients of the desktop computers will also receive ongoing mentorship and access to collaborative spaces to enhance their productivity.

The two organizations hinted at future collaborations with a shared vision of positioning Ghana as a hub for digital innovation and creative entrepreneurship.

“This is only the beginning,” said the NEIP CEO. “We are calling on other corporate partners to join us in building a future where no creative mind is left behind.”
