The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has officially launched the 2025 edition of the Top 4 tournament, setting the stage for an exciting pre-season showdown among the country’s elite clubs.
The launch ceremony, streamed live on GHOne TV and EIB Network, was held in Accra following a shift in venue due to ongoing renovations at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium. The ceremony, attended by club representatives, GHALCA officials, set the tone for a vibrant tournament atmosphere.
Initially slated for Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium from 20 to 24 August 2025, the tournament was moved to the Accra Sports Stadium. GHALCA Chairman, John Ansah, explained that structural delays rendered Baba Yara unsuitable.
The four participating teams are Ghana’s top performers from the last season; Bibiani Gold Stars, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Heart of Lions.
The GHALCA Top 4 is expected to attract large crowds with all matches to be broadcasted live on GHOne TV, Agoo TV and other partner platforms.
The 2025 edition promises intense rivalries, emerging talent, and a perfect football appetizer for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
