The Ghana Army men’s volleyball team secured a thrilling 3‑1 victory over Ghana Air Force in the semi-final of the ongoing Super Volleyball Championship 2025.
The match, which stretched to four intense sets, saw Army claim the first set 25‑18 and the second 25‑21. Air Force fought back in the third, narrowly winning 26‑24 to make it 2‑1. However, Army’s key players; Alhassan Moro, Yakubu Aminu, and captain Benefo Daniel; dominated the fourth set 25‑18, ensuring the semi-final ended in Army’s favour.
The Air Force team, sporting their traditional blue tops and black shorts, showcased stars like Benjamin Mensah, Attom Bernard John Arthur (aka John Buuu), and Numaworse Wisdom, but could not overcome the determined Army squad, who were defeated by the Air Force 3‑0 in the tournament opener.
Army will now face Ghana Police in the final on Sunday, while Air Force battles Ghana Prisons for the bronze medal at Borteyman Sports Complex.
