The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has described as baseless and unfounded corruption allegations against the two deputy chiefs of staff by musician A Plus.

A-Plus noted on Facebook that while President Akufo-Addo has performed well since winning power, some of his officials are corrupt.

He took on Asenso-Boakye and Abu Jinapor calling them corrupt and stupid.

However, after thorough police investigations into the claims upon the instance of the President, the CID in a statement Monday said the claims are without merit.

“From the foregoing, the allegation of corruption was found to be baseless, unsubstantiated and without credibility,” the Police statement said.

The statement further assured Ghanaians that the Police is committed to investigating allegations of corruption against people in public service.
