Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu has announced Ghana’s readiness to host the 2025 Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA’s) Triennale on Education and Training from October 29th to 31st, 2025, in Accra.
The event, a critical voice and forum for policy dialogue on education in Africa is themed: “Strengthening the resilience of Africa’s educational systems: advancing towards ending learning poverty by 2035 with a well-educated and skilled workforce for the continent and beyond.”
Haruna Iddrisu stated that it is an honor for Ghana to host this important gathering, geared towards promoting critical skills for accelerated and sustainable development in Africa.
“Ghana is honoured to welcome ADEA’s Triennale to Accra. “We share ADEA’s and Africa’s vision of ending learning poverty by 2035 and building a skilled workforce for Africa’s future” Mr. Iddrisu stated in a statement.
The Tamale South MP further stated that hosting the event will offer Ghana the opportunity to advance its reforms in education and draw lessons from its peers on the continent.
“Hosting the Triennale offers us a unique opportunity to highlight Ghana’s reforms with the aim to transform education for a sustainable future, learn from our continental peers, and forge bold partnerships to uplift education across the continent,” the Minister added.
The ADEA Triennale will bring together Ministers of Education, senior government officials and other key education stakeholders, including educators, development partners, researchers, academics, private sector representatives and thought leaders in education from Africa and beyond.
These stakeholders will exchange insights, showcase best practices, and chart a collective path towards the sustainable transformation of educational systems on the continent.
