Heath Goldfields Ltd. has recorded its sixth consecutive legal victory since September 2024 following a Supreme Court ruling on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The Court unanimously dismissed an application filed by Future Global Resources Ltd. (FGR) and Blue Gold Bogoso Ltd., reaffirming the legal soundness of Heath Goldfields’ acquisition of the Bogoso-Prestea Mine.
This latest dismissal marks yet another defeat for FGR and Blue Gold, who have repeatedly challenged the Ghanaian government’s decision to terminate their mining rights and transfer them to Heath Goldfields Ltd. The Supreme Court ruling comes after the companies had previously suffered five consecutive setbacks in their attempts to overturn the lawful transfer of the mine.
According to the press release from Heath Goldfields Ltd., the Supreme Court “expressed disappointment at [the applicants’] persistence” in dragging Heath Goldfields and the Minerals Commission into what the Court described as a matter seeking merely to overturn a High Court decision.
Earlier rulings included the High Court’s dismissal on March 20, 2025, in which Her Ladyship Justice Yaa Onyameye Gyakobo JA deemed the original application “incompetent and improperly grounded.”
Heath Goldfields Ltd. said the ruling strengthens its legal position and underscores its commitment to responsibly operating the Bogoso-Prestea Mine, supporting national economic development, and engaging stakeholders with transparency and integrity.
