President John Dramani Mahama has assured that his government will not interfere in the work of Ghana’s anti-corruption institutions, asserting that all corruption cases will be pursued without political influence or favoritism.
The President noted that ensuring accountability and transparency remains a cornerstone of his governance.
According to him, the fight against corruption must be rooted in institutional independence and legal due process.
During a meeting with the African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption at Jubilee House on Tuesday, May 3, President Mahama emphasized his unwavering respect for the rule of law and prosecutorial autonomy.
He made it clear that his administration would not shield anyone from accountability, regardless of political affiliation or past government roles.

“I have told the public and assured my Attorney General and Minister of Justice that I am not going to interfere in their work.
“If the anti-corruption agencies go after anybody, I am not going to try and influence them to drop any investigation against anybody, including those who served in the previous regime, many cases of whom we are currently investigating,” President Mahama said.
