Ghana’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, will deliver the keynote opening address at the Mining & Minerals Convention 2025, scheduled for August 26–27 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
A press release issued by the Office of the Chief of Staff on Saturday, July 26, 2025, confirmed that Mr Debrah will serve as Special Guest of Honour at the two-day event, which is themed “Shaping the Future of Ghana’s Gold Industry.” His address is expected to highlight government’s commitment to responsible mining, sustainability, and enhancing local value retention while positioning Ghana as Africa’s trusted gold hub.
The Convention, regarded as Ghana’s flagship platform for the gold and minerals sector, will bring together senior government officials, regulators, industry leaders, investors, and innovators to explore the alignment of policy, finance, and sustainability across the gold value chain.
Confirmed speakers include Hon. Armah Kofi Buah, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources; Mr. Martin Kwaku Ayisi, CEO of the Minerals Commission; Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod); and Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Mines.
